John Allen Doe, 64, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 15, 1959, in Springfield, John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

John graduated from Springfield High School in 1977 and went on to earn a degree in Business Administration from State University. He spent over 30 years working at ABC Corporation, where he was known for his dedication, integrity, and unwavering work ethic. He retired in 2017 as a respected and beloved manager.

John married the love of his life, Jane Elizabeth Doe, in 1983. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Frances Lynn and Noah. John was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. His greatest joy was his grandchildren, whom he adored and spoiled whenever possible.

An avid outdoorsman, John loved fishing, hiking, and camping. He was a lifelong fan of the Springfield Tigers and never missed a game. John was also deeply involved in his community, volunteering with various organizations and serving as a mentor to many.

 

John is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Frances Lynn and Noah; his grandchildren, Emily Lynn, Zamorpheus Neo, and Sophia; his brother, Robert (Susan) Doe; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Margaret Doe, and his sister, Linda Brown.

John will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering support for those he loved. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on June 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Springfield Community Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Springfield Food Bank or the American Cancer Society in John’s memory.

Rest in peace, John. Your legacy of love and kindness will live on in our hearts forever.
